The first time we heard this song on record, we were pretty pleased with ourselves. The riffs sounded like nothing we'd heard before (brainchild of the genius of our lead guitarist), at times haunting and beautiful but overall alien in nature. Melancholy invades the lyrics, for they serve as the band's interpretation of their nation's bloody past as a nation formed through violent conquest (paying homage to the plight of fellow mexicans and unlikely musical heroes: Caifanes).
